Pride Day is celebrated on June 28 every year, during Pride Month. June 28, 1969, marks the beginning of the Stonewall Uprising, a series of events between police and LGBTQ+ protesters that stretched over six days. One year later, on June 28, 1970, the first pride march was held in New York City.
