April is Diversity Month, a month-long initiative to recognize and celebrate all cultures and populations. Learn more here.

Black Lives Matter Act to Action was formed to create a Kimpton culture that is anti-racist, and a system of enduring equality for our Black employees, guests, and communities.
This committee lead by Mike Defrino, CEO and Telesa Via, VP of Sales consists of over 30 Kimpton employees from our hotels and restaurants to leaders from our Home Office team. Our priorities as a company are represented in our Act to Action committee core pillars of Inclusive Workplaces, Representation in Marketing, The Guest Journey, and Partner Accountability. Through these four pillars we are dedicated to create a space in the hospitality industry that will create an anti-racist culture in all of our workplaces to support our employees and guests, amplify Black voices in our communities through our marketing and creative efforts as a brand, and to partner with Black Owned Businesses and organizations to create a more diversified employee and guest experience.
